Mr. Daisaku Hiraki was appointed as Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry on August 7, 2017.
Mr. Hiraki was first elected to the House of Councillors in 2013. Prior to holding elected office, he worked for Citibank N.A., Booz & Company, and Sigmaxyz Inc.
Mr. Hiraki graduated from the University of Tokyo’s Faculty of Law in 1998. He completed a Master of Business Administration at the IESE Business School of Universidad de Navarra, Spain, in 2008.
He was born in Nagano Prefecture on October 16, 1974.
