  Promotion of the Utilization of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tags
RFID tags offer the prospective to drastically improve the efficiency of product distribution and the opportunity for new services to be created, thus potentially improving industrial international competitiveness.
Therefore, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) implemented strategic policies focused on the international standardization and cost reduction of RFID tags (“HIBIKI Project”).
