  Information Grand Voyage Project
During the past decade, the volume of information available on the Internet has literally exploded, due especially to the proliferation of graphics and video data. At the same time, an unprecedented amount of data has been stockpiled outside the Internet  -for instance, in the medical and retail sectors- too. There is therefore a growing need to utilize productively this vast and varied sea of information.

This project aims to develop the key component necessary to achieve this, namely common technology (Intelligent Information Access Technology) to search large quantities of differing kinds of data and accurately locate/analyze the information required by the user.

Opening up the possibility of the effective use of all kinds of information through this project should lead to the creation of new products and services, which in turn will not only enhance industrial competitiveness, but also hopefully result in multiple positive ripple effects, such as larger markets, a better consumer experience and a reduction of social costs.
