Discovery of 12 "genius programmers" and "super creators" – certification of developers of FY 2005 (second-half) projects under the "Software for the Future" programAfter implementation of 41 projects under the METI-subsidized "Software for the Future" program in the second-half of FY 2005, 12 people involved in the projects were classified as "genius programmers" and "super creators." (A total of 145 project proposals were received in the second-half FY 2005 selection term.) FY 2006 Nuclear Power Comprehensive Disaster DrillIn the event of an emergency situation involving nuclear power, measures should be implemented to ensure the safety of local residents through the combined efforts of central/local governments and nuclear facilities operators, in accordance with the Special Law of Emergency Preparedness for Nuclear Disaster. Pursuant to Article 13 of the said law, all persons involved will cooperate in this drill every year. The drill will be implemented on October 25 and 26, 2006.
