-Call for public comments about potential scenarios of feed-in tariff scheme for renewable energy-

1. Outline of the call for public comments

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has examined the possible introduction of a feed-in tariff scheme for renewable energy in the Project Team on Feed-in Tariff for Renewable Energy with the aim of further introducing renewable energy. Based on the discussion to date, METI calls for comments from the public regarding Potential Scenarios for Feed-in Tariff Scheme for Renewable Energy.

  • Any comments on all/some/a single item(s) are welcome.

3. Comment acceptance period

For comments for which you wish to have a hearing opportunity: May 31 (18:00), 2010
Public comments are accepted for our reference also after the above period.

4. How to submit your public comments, etc.

Submit your comments in Japanese in either of the following ways. Please be informed that comments through phone calls shall NOT be accepted.

1) Submission by email

  • -Provide in the prescribed form attached as ANNEXPDF File(6.4KB) your name, etc. (name, affiliation including section and person in charge, etc.), postal address, and contact information (phone and fax numbers and email address), whether or not you desire a hearing opportunity, whether or not the comment(s) can be made public, and the comment(s) (provide case number(s) you agree with and your reasons and opinions, etc.).
  • Send your comment(s) to the following email address with the subject of “Call for Public Comments regarding Potential Scenarios of Feed-in Tariff Scheme for Renewable Energy.” In the case of sending in a PDF file, make sure that the file is converted from MS Word.

2) Submission by fax

5. Note

Please be informed that all part of your comments, excluding your name, address, phone and fax numbers, and email address, may be made available to the public.
