Opening of a Saving Electricity Website
 - To Avoid Rolling Blackouts As Far As Possible -

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has opened a saving electricity website  introducing specific actions to save electricity and their effects, with a message film to educate people about saving electricity as well as links to related websites.

Toward the summer when the supply-demand balance of the electricity is anticipated to be much tighter, METI will enhance the contents of this special website so that you can tackle energy and electricity saving of and electricity more actively.

  1. Considering that the supply-demand balance of electricity is quite tight due to the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake, which occurred on March 11, METI has repeatedly solicited for the people’s utmost cooperation in saving electricity, showing specific measures for electricity saving and their effects.
  2. METI has opened a saving electricity website introducing specific actions to save electricity and their effects, with a message film to educate people about saving electricity currently on line, as well as links to related websites.
  3. Toward the summer when the supply-demand balance of the electricity is anticipated to be much tighter, METI will enhance the contents of this special website so that you can further tackle energy and electricity saving. We would appreciate you actively visiting the website and cooperating in further electricity saving.
