Status of Temporary Fueling Sites and Establishment of New Sites

  1. Fuel was provided in the following municipalities on April 5.

    (1) Otsuchi Town, Iwate: 442 vehicles for people affected by the earthquake

    (2) Ishinomaki City, Miyagi: 200 city official vehicles and vehicles for private volunteer workers

    (3) Minamisanriku Town, Miyagi: 10 police vehicles/fire engines and vehicles for private volunteer workers

    (4) Onagawa Town, Miyagi: 5 city official vehicles

    (5) Iitate Village, Fukushima: 1 police vehicle/fire engine

    (Note) Refueling will be continuously implemented from tomorrow in the above mentioned municipalities, but in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi, only official vehicles and fire engines will be eligible for fuel supply.

  2. Temporary fueling sites were established and provided fuel to a total of 5,600 vehicles over 10 days (from March 27 to April 5), in 9 municipalities*.

    *Iwate Prefecture: Kamaishi City, Rikuzentakata City and Otsuchi Town
    Miyagi Prefecture: Ishinomaki City, Higashimatsushima City, Onagawa Town and Minamisanriku Town
    Fukushima Prefecture: Shinchi Town and Iitate Village
