In order to support people affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake to find jobs, the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency (SMEA) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) will organize joint career fairs as well as publish the names of companies showing interest in employing new graduates in earthquake-affected areas among companies participating in the Project to Support New Graduates’ Job Search.

SMEA will hold a series of joint career fairs in prefectures affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, with the first event taking place at Iwate Prefecture Industry Hall in Morioka, Iwate, on May 9.

SMEA published a list of companies eager to employ new graduates in quake-affected areas among companies participating in the Project to Support New Graduates’ Job Search (see Appendix) (PDF:591KB) (in Japanese).

This list will be expanded to include additional companies found to be active in hiring such new graduates.
