Enterprises which cooperated in support of the area affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake
We would like to announce and thank the industry associations and enterprises which, in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, cooperated in the procurement of relief supplies to the earthquake-affected areas upon request from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) under the direction from the government’s special headquarters of daily life support for earthquake victims.
- METI has procured daily necessities (power generators, blankets, toilet paper, petroleum products etc.) in cooperation with the industry associations, manufactures, distribution enterprises etc. concerned. In addition, following the appeal made by Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kaieda on March 19 to ask for cooperation from associations and enterprises, over 700 associations and public interest corporations within METI’s jurisdiction were requested to cooperate from March 20.
- Since many entities and enterprises cooperated, we would like to announce the names of individual enterprises and entities.

Among the enterprises and entities which cooperated in the cases where affected prefectures requested government headquarters to procure certain supplies and METI was involved in their procurement, those that are confirmed to have sent the supplies to the disaster area as of April 26.(Attached Material 2: in Japanese (PDF:365KB)

- If we find more supplies confirmed to have been sent or receive new proposals from now on, we would like to announce the enterprises and entities involved.
