The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) and the Fukushima Prefectural Government in coordination confirmed that they would make efforts to enhance employment opportunities for the affected people and to support management of the affected enterprises.
- Due to the nuclear power station accident occurring in addition to the Great East Japan Earthquake, it is anticipated that employment in Fukushima Prefecture will be greatly affected for a longer time than other affected areas. To solve this problem, METI and MHLW will, in coordination with Fukushima Prefectural Government, take measures as shown in the attached material in order to support management of the affected enterprises and enhance employment opportunities for the affected people.
- By taking these measures, we aim to create employment for about 20,000 people in Fukushima Prefecture.
