Explanatory meetings of electricity saving for small customers

From June 6 (Monday), explanatory meetings regarding electricity saving will be held for small customers (business operators with contracted electricity of less than 500kW*) within Tokyo Electric Power Co. (TEPCO) and Tohoku Electric Power Co. (Tohoku EPCO) areas. The topics of the meetings will include introduction to specific methods of electricity saving and formulation and registration of an action plan for electricity saving, etc. (Free participation fee).

* All small customers, including office buildings, wholesale stores, retail stores, foods grocery stores, medical institutions, hotels, Japanese-style inns, restaurants, schools and manufacturing sites (plants), etc.

1. Outline

Based on the “Electricity supply-demand measures in summer time”, which was summarized by the Electricity Supply-Demand Emergency Response Headquarters on May 13 (Friday), the target power reduction rate was equally set as 15% for large customers, small customers and households.

Accordingly, we would like to announce that we will hold, from June 6 (Monday), explanatory meetings for the small customers within the TEPCO and Tohoku EPCO areas and the topics of the meetings will include introduction to more specific methods of electricity saving and formulation and registration of an action plan for electricity saving , etc. (Free participation fee).

Afterwards, we plan to hold small explanatory meetings for electricity saving in various locations within TEPCO and Tohoku EPCO areas.
