METI’s effort to foster recovery and development of areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake
[Fourth stage] Special fair to assist affected areas
- Sale of processed foods from Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwate -

To foster the recovery and development of areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been helping these regions advertise local products and cultivate markets for them.

In the fourth stage of this campaign, METI will organize a special fair to assist affected areas on Wednesday, September 7 in front of the main entrance of the METI main building. The event focuses on selling processed foods produced in affected areas.

METI eagerly invites citizens to visit the event, which is open to the public.

3.Next step

METI will continue its campaign to support publicity and market cultivation activities for products produced in the quake-stricken areas.
