Implementation of Product Safety Inspection Week
Every year from FY 2006, The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) designates a week in November as the Product Safety Inspection Week, in order to focus on activities to inform the public on the proper use of products. In this fiscal year, the week beginning November 21 will be Product Safety Inspection Week and METI will hold the Sixth Product Safety Inspection Seminar in Tokyo, on November 24. In addition, the Regional Bureaus of Economy, Trade and Industry and the National Institute of Technology and Evaluation (NITE) will make various efforts toward improvement of product safety so as to further draw attention to the issue nationwide. It is expected that use of combustion type stoves in particular will increase this year in a nationwide effort to save electricity. METI is going to enhance dissemination of information to prevent accidents arising from improper use of such stoves.
METI would like to invite you to visit us together with your friends.
