Joint release with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Releasing the Joint Study Report for an FTA among China, Japan, and Korea
The full text of the Joint Study Report for a free trade agreement (FTA) among China, Japan, and Korea has been released.
- The Joint Study Committee for a free trade agreement (FTA) among China, Japan, and Korea is composed of government officials, business and academic participants from these three countries. The Committee held seven meetings in total between May 2010 and December 2011, and announced at the seventh meeting in December 2011 that it had completed the Joint Study. The Committee hereby releases the full report describing the results of the Study.
- The results will be reported to the leaders of Japan, China, and Korea at the Trilateral Summit between these countries this year.

Building on the Trilateral Joint Research Project conducted from 2003 to 2009, the leaders of three countries reached a consensus during the October 2009 Trilateral Summit held in Beijing, China that the Joint Study for an FTA among China, Japan, and Korea should be commenced among government officials, business and academic participants.

- 5th meeting:
- June 27-28, 2011 (Kitakyushu)
- 6th meeting:
- August 31-September 2, 2011 (Changchun, China)
- 7th meeting:
- December 14-16, 2011 (Pyeongchang, Korea)
