Authorization of Toko Inc.’s Business Restructuring Plan under the Act on Special Measures for Industrial Revitalization and Innovation
On February 15, 2013, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) authorized a business restructuring plan submitted by Toko Inc.
In accordance with this plan, Toko Inc. will introduce automatic mass-production facilities for micro metal alloy coils to affiliated manufacturers in Viet Nam and China. Such coils are Toko's unique technology using new materials and methods as a result of the company's culmination of previous technology and development. By this introduction, the company will carry out cost reduction as well as expand its production and sales.
Through these efforts, Toko Inc. will focus its management resources on highly-profitable strategic products to accelerate an increase in returns, gain high-yield, and improve company value.
1. Authorization of Business Restructuring Plan
METI examined the business restructuring plan submitted by Toko Inc. pursuant to Article 5, paragraph (6), of the Act on Special Measures for Industrial Revitalization and Innovation. METI concluded that the company satisfied the requirements specified by said Act as an entrepreneur who is to carry out business innovation defined by Article 2, paragraph (4), item (ii), of said Act, and authorized the plan.
The company is now eligible to receive debt guarantee as a support measure from the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, Japan.
