METI will Hold a Seminar to Promote Venture Businesses’ ActivitiesToward Japan’s Winning in both Technology and Business Fields
According to the Emergency Economic Measures for the Revitalization of the Japanese Economy, decided by the Cabinet on January 11, 2013, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) have established a Project for Promoting Venture Businesses' Activities (budget: 10 billion yen in total), financed by the supplementary budget allocation in FY2012. Under this project, METI and NEDO will strongly promote the practical application and commercialization of the results from technology development venture businesses in Japan.
As a part of such promotion, METI and NEDO will hold a seminar. In the seminar, managers of leading ventures who have achieved success in their business in Japan, as well as challengers to and supporters of new business and technology development, will discuss and exchange their views straightforwardly from their respective viewpoints about meanings, effects, and success factors in the creation and development of such technology development ventures businesses. METI and NEDO will be looking forward to seeing many of you there.
1. Outline of the seminar
- Date: Friday, March 8, 2013, 14:00-16:00 (pending) (a reception will start at 13:30.)
- Venue: 5th floor of Fukuracia Tokyo Station (Asahi Seimei-Otemachi Building; 2-6-1, Otemachi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo)
- Capacity: 200
- Application deadline: Tuesday, May 5, 2013
