This project has been promoted by the consortium as a part of a commission project concerning overseas infrastructure and system export promotion that is being carried out by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
This agreement is the fruit of the comprehensive evaluation of Japanese companies' technology integrated with the know-how that Japan's local governments possess for designing environmental systems, which is recognized as a sustainable business model for establishing environmentally-friendly industrial cities. The agreement is considered to be extremely important for Japan to export infrastructure projects to emerging countries in the future.
