Expansion of India-Japan Energy Forum 2013-Solutions and Technical showcase towards energy future-

Currently in India, energy requirement is increasing with economic development and growth. Indian government has been working to promote energy saving, renewable energy, and new energy policy to secure a stable energy supply.

Mr. Shuichi Sugawara, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry visited New Delhi, India on April 17, 2013. The State Minister met H.E. Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Government of India. They agreed on the plan to hold the "India-Japan Energy Forum 2013" from September 10th to 14th in New Delhi and Greater Noida, to be hosted by NEDO, JETRO and TERI.

Japan and India have decided to hold the "India-Japan Energy Forum 2013" aiming to reinforce their cooperation in the energy field.

The event is to be held in two parts; one is a "Conference" and the other is an "Exhibition". At the "Conference", prominent figures in energy-related fields from the private and public sectors of both countries will meet and have discussions on various energy topics to address relevant issues. At the "Exhibition", Japanese companies will participate at the Japan Pavilion of the 7th Renewable Energy Expo to showcase their latest technologies, and business matching between Japanese and Indian companies is also to be arranged on site.
