- Summer Energy Conservation Measures
Agency for Natural Resources and EnergySummer Energy Conservation Measures-Summer Energy Conservation Campaign from June to September-
In order to promote energy conservation measures for the summer from June to September, the Inter-Ministerial Liaison Council for the Promotion of Energy and Resource Conservation Measures was held and made a decision on the Summer Energy Conservation Measures.
- The Inter-Ministerial Liaison Council for the Promotion of Energy and Resource Conservation Measures is comprised of related ministries and agencies and has been held each year before the beginning of summer and winter, during which energy consumption increases. The Council made a decision on the summer energy conservation measures as outlined in the attachment below.
- Since it is highly requested that necessary electricity supply-demand measures be taken in a proactive manner in the summer of 2013, the energy conservation measures will promote energy saving actions integrated with the electricity supply-demand measures which are to be determined separately.
- The government will encourage the public to cooperate with such energy conservation and electricity saving practices.
- The government itself will take the lead in engaging in energy conservation measures, such as avoiding unnecessary use of air conditioning and lighting.
