The Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) compiled the present status of introduction for facilities generating renewable energy as of February 28, 2013, and hereby announces the results.
The total combined capacity of such facilities from April 2012 to February 2013, reached 1,662,000 kW.
The total combined capacity of such facilities between April 1, 2012, and February 28, 2013, reached 1,662,000 kW, among which photovoltaic power facilities accounted for 1,559,000 kW.

* In addition to the above facilities, ANRE approved those that generate electricity by combusting mixtures of coal and other materials and started operation between April 1, 2012, and February 28, 2013, from which 350,000 kW of electricity could be generated. However, ANRE considers that it is not appropriate to calculate all the electricity as the output from biomass power generation facilities. Based on this viewpoint, the capacities of such facilities are not taken into consideration, as a matter of convenience.
