From April 15 to 22, 2013, a mission from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conducted a review on the plans towards decommissioning of Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO)'s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Units 1 to 4. METI has received a report from the mission and hereby makes it public.
Outline
The Government of Japan has been making efforts towards decommissioning of TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Units 1 to 4 according to the Mid-and-Long-Term Roadmap towards the Decommissioning of TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Units 1-4 (hereinafter referred to as the "Roadmap"). From April 15 to 22, 2013, an IAEA review mission visited Japan in response to Japan's request, and conducted a review on the efforts from a global point of view. Following the review, METI has received a report from the mission and hereby makes the report public.
The report shows the mission's acknowledgements and advice on the efforts, and the advice will be reflected in the revised Roadmap that is scheduled to be finalized by the end of June 2013.
