IoT Acceleration Lab will hold an event titled the “Second IoT Lab Connection” for Theme-Based Project Organization and Business Collaboration among Companies

On Sunday, July 31, 2016, the IoT Acceleration Lab will hold an event titled the “Second IoT Lab Connection” for theme-based project organization and collaboration among companies aiming for the creation of advanced projects utilizing IoT and the achievement of public implementation of the projects.

Concerning the event, on May 25, 2016, the IoT Acceleration Lab began to call for applicants for an event in the Second IoT Lab Connection titled “Solution Matching”, a business matching event between companies, associations and municipalities. We invite you to apply for this event.

1. Purpose

With the technological advent of IoT, AI and big data, industrial and societal structures are seeing significant changes. In response to this situation, the IoT Acceleration Lab aims to create advanced projects utilizing IoT and the achievement of public implementation of the projects. To this end, it has been undertaking certain efforts, including feasibility studies on which to base these efforts, review of regulations and systems necessary for actual implementation, creation of new cross-industry regulations and demonstration projects to accelerate the development of the environment for IoT and other related technologies.

As a part of the efforts, in January 2016, the IoT Acceleration Lab held a Solution Matching event focusing on the fields of tourism and manufacturing, as a part of the First IoT Lab Connection as well as the first step for supporting collaboration among companies.

At the Second IoT Lab Connection, the Solution Matching event will focus on two themes: [i] health care/medical care and sports; and [ii] logistics, distribution and infrastructure, and provide a business matching opportunity targeting IoT Acceleration Lab member companies or corporate groups, associations and municipalities that have business models, technologies and services related to the themes.

In addition, if participants decide on this occasion to collaboratively undertake an outstanding, cutting-edge project at the matching event and they file an application for the Third IoT Lab Selection with that project, * an examination committee will consider the background of the project adopted at the Second IoT Lab Connection.

We invite you to proactively apply for this event.
