Experience-based Fair of Advanced Agricultural Technology(Horticultural Facility Use)to be Held An effort for realization of the Fukushima Innovation Coast Scheme

On January 21(Sun.), 2018, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI), the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries(MAFF), and the government of Fukushima Prefecture, will jointly hold an Experience-based Fair of Advanced Agricultural Technology(Horticultural Facility Use)as scheduled below. This event aims to provide local agricultural workers in the Hama-Dori area, a target district of the Fukushima Innovation Coast Scheme, with opportunities to see and test advanced technologies that can bring about efficient and high-value added agriculture, as an attempt to popularize the utilization of such advanced technologies that increase the efficiency of agricultural practices and to encourage local agriculture workers to resume their agricultural business practices.

Satake Corporation
The company will showcase various types of equipment, including equipment for rice or flour milling and analysis of shokumi, a comprehensive evaluation of food in terms of its taste, aroma, freshness and texture, targeting a variety of customers, including individual agricultural workers and large-facility operators.
Tenuto Corporation
The company will exhibit a variety of agricultural equipment utilized to promote the growth of fruit trees under cultivation, ranging from equipment for locally supplying carbon dioxide targeting novice farmers, which is a well-established technique for fostering the growth in trees in Fukushima Prefecture, to cutting-edge environmental controllers.
Denso Corporation / Toyotane Co., Ltd.
The companies will exhibit a new system called "Profarm," an achievement brought about by integrating Toyotane's cultivation technology and Denso's control technology. Using a controller, users are able to improve their work efficiency and consult with other users concerning cultivation.
ViAR&E Co. Ltd. / enRouteM's Co., Ltd.(Note: These companies are scheduled to change their names.)
The companies will explain their robot-development efforts called "Practical AI Utilization in the Field of Agriculture".
Futaba Industrial Co. Ltd. / Daisen Co. Ltd.
The companies will exhibit their product called "agleaf," a device for storing and supplying carbon dioxide that recycles exhausted gas from combustion-type heaters and requires no additional fuels.
Plants Laboratory Inc. / The University of Tokyo
The company and university will exhibit an energy-saving indoor agricultural system by which users are able to control environments inside greenhouses at low cost.
Plant Life Systems Co., Ltd.
The company will explain breakthrough software that assists users in cultivating miniature tomatoes that strike a balance between high sugar content and high yield.
Furuta Corporation
The company will comprehensively showcase a variety of devices that realize environmental control inside greenhouses.
Research Institute for Production Machinery, School of Agriculture, Yamagata University
The university will exhibit IoT for the fields of animal husbandry and horticulture, and robots for washing poultry houses as its achievements developed and practically utilized under the industry-academia collaboration.
Yanmar Agri Japan Co., Ltd.
The company will showcase a gas heat pump(GHP)by which users are able to control temperatures inside greenhouses and overcome non-uniformity in temperatures so as to provide stable quality of crops.
Routrek Networks, Inc.
The company will explain a system for controlling soil environments called "Zero.agri" that performs a variety of functions, including determination of the amount of water and fertilizers to meet the growth level of crops and supply thereof, thereby allowing users to enjoy agricultural work in their spare time.

The company will explain a variety of technologies, including those for selecting quality products, instructions for cultivating crops and methods for keeping the freshness of cultivated crops.
The government of Fukushima Prefecture and the Fukushima Soso Reconstruction Corporation
The municipality and organization will collaboratively run a booth in which consultation services are made available for visitors who wish to resume agricultural businesses.
