The government decided the schedule of the APEC Energy Ministers’ Meeting and Telecommunications and Information Ministers’ Meeting, and the high-level meeting of the Economic Committee, all of which will take place in Japan in 2010.

1. Japan will act as the chair of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2010 and host various APEC meetings, including a summit meeting.

2. The dates and places of major meetings were already announced on July 21. Subsequently, the government decided the dates of the Energy Ministers’ Meeting and the Telecommunications and Information Ministers’ Meeting, and the date and place of the high-level meeting of the Economic Committee.
