The Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry (METI) and six related ministries designate October every year as the "Informatization Month", rolling out programs to promote information society.
The government has decided the theme for FY 2009 Informatization Month, events to be held, and individuals, companies and information processing systems to be recognized this year for their contribution to today’s information-rich society.
Global, Open, Green!: Usher in a New Era with Information Technology (IT)
