The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Green IT Promotion Council this year launched a program to dispatch a "Green IT Mission" to Singapore and Thailand to survey the energy saving potentials of factories and data centers in Asia. The "Asia Green IT Seminar" will be held in Singapore and Thailand on February 23 and 25, respectively, with the aim of promoting green IT in Asia by reporting the results of this mission and explaining energy saving efforts in Japan.
