MONODZUKURI EXHIBITION

The MONODZUKURI EXHIBITION will be held at the National Museum of Nature and Science from March 13 to April 4, as already announced. Prior to its opening, a press preview will be held on March 12, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

1. Outline of the MONODZUKURI EXHIBITION

This thematic exhibition will take place at the National Museum of Nature and Science with the aim of widely publicizing the winners of the Third Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award and their outstanding skills to the world. Prior to its opening, a press preview will be held on March 12, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please see the Appendix for more information.

2. What is the Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award?

The Monodzukuri Nippon Grand Award is a program established in 2005 for the purpose of recognizing and publicizing outstanding skills of monodzukuri professionals and various efforts to improve such skills. The awards are organized every two years and were presented for the third time in July 2009.

Through this program, METI aims to create a society where young people and children—the future working generation—are interested in monodzukuri as an occupation to be respected and admired.
