The APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) 2010 Second Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM2) will be held on June 3 (Thu) and 4 (Fri), and the Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT) will be held on June 5 (Sat) and 6 (Sun) in Sapporo City (Sapporo Convention Center).

The MRT is the first ministerial meeting to be hosted by Japan as the chair of APEC in 2010. It is an important meeting, as it will set the tone for the other coming ministerial meetings covering a variety of fields, which will be held throughout Japan, as well as the Economic Leaders’and Ministerial Meeting to be held in November in Yokohama.
