"APEC 2010 Japan" Postage Stamp

To commemorate the fact that APEC is being held in Japan this year, the special "APEC 2010 Japan" postage stamp and the "Regular Stamp Album (APEC 2010 Japan)" will be released on Friday, June 4, from Japan Post Service Co., Ltd.

1. To commemorate the fact that APEC is being held in Japan this year, the special "APEC 2010 Japan" postage stamp and the "Regular Stamp Album (APEC 2010 Japan)" will be released on Friday, June 4, by Japan Post Service Co., Ltd.

>2. APEC 2010 Japan is being held in various locations all over Japan. The special stamp features a design incorporating the flowers of the twelve cities hosting related meetings (Tokyo, Hiroshima, Sapporo, Fukui, Beppu, Sendai, Nara, Gifu, Niigata, Nago, Kyoto, and Yokohama [in meeting date order]).

3. To mark the release of this special stamp, a presentation ceremony will be held on Friday, June 4, as part of the program of the APEC Meeting of Ministers Responsible for Trade (MRT). At the ceremony, Japan Post Service will present the special stamp to Mr. Masayuki Naoshima, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Katsuya Okada, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Harumi Takahashi, Governor of Hokkaido Prefecture, and Mr. Fumio Ueda, Mayor of Sapporo (details are under coordination).

4. On the same day, Japan Post Service will also present the special stamp to the cities hosting APEC meetings (details under coordination).
