On June 15, 2010, the 2010 Annual Report on Energy was approved by the Cabinet and submitted to the Diet.
The Annual Report on Energy was compiled pursuant to Article 11 of the Basic Act on Energy Policy, enacted in 2002. This law requires that the government prepare a report on the progress of measures taken with respect to energy supply and demand, have it approved by the Cabinet, and submit it to the Diet.
