Japan and Mongolia will conduct the 2nd Meeting of the Joint Public-Private Study Group of the Japan-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).

1. On 4-5 November, Japan and Mongolia will conduct the 2nd Meeting of the Joint Study Group of Japan-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) in Tokyo, with the participation of representatives from government, industrial and academic sectors.
2. In this meeting, participants will exchange views on issues that could be taken up in possible Japan-Mongolia EPA.

(For reference) Both governments agreed to discuss the launch of a joint public-private study group of an EPA during the visit to Japan of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Gombojav Zandanshatar in December last year. Subsequently, inter-governmental working-level talks were held in Ulan Bator in January 2010. In accordance with the results of the talks, the first public-private study group was held in June this year.
