The 2nd Meeting of the Joint Study Group of Japan-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA)
Japan and Mongolia will conduct the 2nd Meeting of the Joint Public-Private Study Group of the Japan-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).
- On 4-5 November, Japan and Mongolia will conduct the 2nd Meeting of the Joint Study Group of Japan-Mongolia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) in Tokyo, with the participation of representatives from government, industrial and academic sectors.
- In this meeting, participants will exchange views on issues that could be taken up in possible Japan-Mongolia EPA.
(For reference) Both governments agreed to discuss the launch of a joint public-private study group of an EPA during the visit to Japan of Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade Gombojav Zandanshatar in December last year. Subsequently, inter-governmental working-level talks were held in Ulan Bator in January 2010. In accordance with the results of the talks, the first public-private study group was held in June this year.
