Town Meeting on Environment and Energy Measures
Overview
As we move forward on global warming countermeasures, in light of the various ways that the measures may impact civilian life as well as economic and industrial activities, it is important to carry out discussions with all citizens on their significance, the issues, and the impact on economic and industrial activities, as well as to deepen understanding on these topics when planning and formulating policies. With this in mind, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry conducted “Town Meetings on Environment and Energy Measures” from April to June 2010, with the aim of holding direct opinion exchanges with citizens in all parts of Japan.
