Three Institutes in India Certified as Members of the Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing

In November 2016, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), India, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) on the Manufacturing Skill Transfer Promotion Programme. Based on the MOC, on October 18, 2018, METI certified three institutes of human resource development, which are affiliates of three Japanese companies: Ahresty Corporation, Toyota Tsusho Corporation and Terumo Corporation as members of Japan-India Institute for Manufacturing (JIM).

1. Outline

Based on the MOC signed by METI and MSDE in November 2016, on October 18, 2018, METI certified three institutes of human resource development, which are affiliated institutes of three Japanese companies: Ahresty Corporation, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, and Terumo Corporation as members of JIM.

3. Ceremony for JIM certification

On October 18, 2018, witnessed by Mr. Hirofumi Takinami, Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and Mr. Sujan Romeshchandra Chinoy, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Japan, Mr. Masaki Ishikawa, Director-General, Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, granted certificates of accreditation to three representatives of the companies: Mr. Shinichi Takahashi, Director and Managing Executive Officer, Ahresty Corporation; Mr. Yuichi Oi, Executive Vice President, Toyota Tsusho Corporation; and Mr. Hiroshi Nagumo, Executive Offer, Terumo Corporation.
