On October 29, 2018, Mr. Hiroshige Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, held a meeting with H.E. Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India during his visit to Japan.
Outline of the meeting
Minister Seko made a courtesy call to Prime Minister Modi, and exchanged views concerning bilateral efforts between Japan and India. In particular, both sides confirmed that Japan and India will further cooperate in promoting startups, and in addition to this, in the digital technology field including collaboration between private companies, fostering human resources, and research and development, as well as business cooperation in Asian and African regions. Moreover, they exchanged views concerning RCEP, and agreed on continuous collaboration toward an early and substantial conclusion of negotiations.
