Cosmetics Promotional Event titled “JAPAN Beauty Week in Cosmoprof Asia 2018” to be Held

Japanese cosmetics, popularly known as “J-beauty,” have been attracting public attention from inside and outside Japan. To encourage this trend, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), in collaboration with the Japan Cosmetic Industry Association (JCIA), has been holding a series of promotional events titled “JAPAN Beauty Week” around the world since 2013, as an effort to convey the attractiveness of Japanese cosmetics. As part of this effort, on November 15, 2018, METI will hold a seminar to expose visitors to the quality technologies of Japanese cosmetics, taking advantage of “Cosmoprof Asia 2018,” Asia’s largest cosmetics exhibition, to be held in Hong Kong.

JAPAN Beauty Week in Cosmoprof Asia 2018

Targeting buyers and press stakeholders visiting Cosmoprof Asia 2018 from countries and regions all around the world, Japan will hold a seminar to communicate information on the technologies and culture of Japanese cosmetics. Through this event, Japan aims to demonstrate the quality and attractiveness of Japanese cosmetics and related technologies.

Outline of the JAPAN Beauty Week events

Jointly with JCIA, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been engaging in a series of promotional events called “Japan Beauty Week” around the world to convey the high functionality and quality of Japanese cosmetics, aiming to contribute to encouraging Japanese cosmetics and toiletry industries to cultivate and develop new overseas sales channels.
