METI Receives Preliminary Summary Report from IAEA Review Mission
Results of the review by the IAEA on Japan's efforts for decommissioning of Units 1-4 of TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) hereby received a preliminary summary report of the IAEA’s fourth peer review mission conducted from November 5 (Mon.) to 13 (Tue.), 2018.
Japan has been advancing efforts for decommissioning of Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station under the Mid-And-Long-Term Roadmap towards the Decommissioning of TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Units 1-4, etc. Concerning these efforts, from November 5 (Mon.) to 13 (Tue.), 2018, Japan received the visit of an IAEA review mission and was taken an international review.
On November 13, 2018, Mr. Yoshihiko Isozaki, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, received a preliminary summary report of the review from the mission. In response, METI hereby publicizes the preliminary summary report and an IAEA press release publicized by the organization on November 13, 2018.
The summary report describes 17 points of acknowledgments and 21 advisory points shown by the mission.
The IAEA review mission plan to deliver the final report to Japan by the end of January 2019.
