From November 29 (Thu.) to December 3 (Mon.), 2018, Mr. Hiroshige Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and Minister for Economic Cooperation with Russia, visited Buenos Aires, Argentina. Taking the opportunity of the G20 summit meeting, he joined several bilateral meetings between the Prime Minister of Japan and his counterparts including the President of the Russian Federation. Prior to the Japan-Russia summit meeting, he held a consultation with H.E. Mr. Maksim Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development and Special Representative for Trade and Economic Cooperation with Japan of the Russian Federation on the Eight-point Cooperation Plan and other issues.
1. Attending bilateral summit meetings (November 30 and December 1)
In addition to the Japan-Russia summit meeting, Minister Seko joined other summit meetings between Japan and the United States, China, the United Kingdom, Turkey and the EU.
2. Meeting with Minister Oreshkin, Russia (November 30)
In preparation for the Japan-Russia summit meeting the following day, both sides confirmed the progress in the Eight-point Cooperation Plan, discussed future directions thereof, and shared the recognition that Japan and Russia will further enrich their economic cooperation projects.
