METI Launches Study Group for Human Resource Management toward Enhanced Competitiveness

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) launched a Study Group for Human Resource Management toward Enhanced Competitiveness. The study group will hold discussions on ideal approaches to human resource management to enhance the competitiveness of Japanese companies, in order to enhance their earning power and create virtuous cycles in the economy amid the dramatic changes in social and economic environments such as globalization, digitalization and an aging society with fewer children.

METI hereby announces that the study group will hold its first meeting on January 16 (Wed.), 2019.

Date and time: January 16 (Wed.), 2019; from 8:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.
Venue: Shared Meeting Rooms 2 and 3 on the 17th floor, METI Main Building
Agenda Items:

  1. Awareness of issues involving ideal approaches to human resource management
  2. HR technology

2. Discussion materials

METI will publish the materials distributed at the first meeting on METI website after finishing the meeting.
