Third Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework Symposium to be Held

The Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework is a national policy that aims to establish industrial bases in the Hama-Dori area in Fukushima Prefecture, the region devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake and disasters caused by the nuclear power plants following the earthquake. As an effort to this end, supported by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Third Fukushima Innovation Coast Framework Symposium will be held. The symposium will consist of a talk session bringing together companies and experts involved in research and development, experimental programs and other initiatives in the Hama-Dori area and at other sites, demonstrations by regional students involved in development of robots designed for decommissioning nuclear power plants and other events.

Note: The FIPO is a legal entity established by Fukushima Prefecture in July 2017. The organization aims to advance practical efforts of the Fukushima Innovation Coast Scheme more specific and contribute to reconstruction and recovery of the Hama-Dori area.
