METI Minister Seko had a Meeting with H.E. Mr. Maksim Stanislavovich Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development, Special Representative for Trade and Economic Cooperation with Japan of the Russian Federation

On Monday, June 10, Mr. Hiroshige Seko, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry and Minister for Economic Cooperation with Russia, had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Maksim Stanislavovich Oreshkin, Minister of Economic Development, Special Representative for Trade and Economic Cooperation with Japan of the Russian Federation, who is now in Japan. H.E. Mr. Konstantin Noskov, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, also attended the meeting.
Both parties confirmed progress of the Japan-Russia economic relationship, including various projects under the Eight-Point Cooperation Plan.
Additionally, it was agreed that Japan and Russia will continuously accelerate consultations with the aim of further deepening and expanding the Eight-Point Cooperation Plan, including cooperation in the field of digital economy and efforts for the enhancement of labor productivity, toward further development of the economic relationship between both countries.
