The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been striving to conduct countermeasures against the effects of the negative reputation of Fukushima Prefecture. As one of the countermeasures, on October 15 (Tue.), 2019, METI will hold an event titled “METI Fukushima Revitalization Fair,” aiming to raise public awareness of the tasty foods, specialties and passion of producers in Fukushima Prefecture and communicate the current state of revitalization in Fukushima to the public.
1. Overview of the Fukushima Revitalization Fair

Details of the Fukushima Revitalization Fair
- Exhibition and sale of made-in-Fukushima seasonal fruits, fresh vegetables and processed products
- Purchase products directly from producers
(Mr. Noboru Saito from Nihonmatsu Noen; and Ms. Kinue Ishii from Ishii Farm)
In this event, producers participating in Satoyama Garden Farm will sell their agricultural products. Satoyama Garden Farm is an organization consisting of 54 producers in Fukushima Prefecture and has been advancing efforts for establishing trusting relationships between consumers and producers.
