April 20, 2020

The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) publicized the “Design Policy Handbook 2020”, a compilation containing information on efforts by the government and those in regional areas for design policies and other related information.

1. Purpose

Aiming at further development of design policies in Japan, METI collected information on efforts by the government and those in regional areas for design policies and other related information and compiled the information into a handbook titled “Design Policy Handbook 2020.” METI hopes that many administrative organizations, research institutes, support organizations and other associations across Japan which are playing a leading role in vitalization, research and development, support measures and other initiatives involving designs will refer to the handbook in advancing their efforts for design policies.

METI hereby announces that it publicized the “Design Policy Handbook 2020”, a compilation containing the information on such efforts mainly from FY2018 to FY2019.
