First Joint Meeting to be Held between the METI Working Group on Resource Circulation Strategy for Plastics under the Waste and Recycling Subcommittee of the Committee on Industrial Science and Technology Policy and Environment of the Industrial Structure Council; and the MOE Subcommittee on Plastic Resource Circulation of the Working Group for a Circular Economy of the Central Environment Council

1. Background

The joint meeting will aim to hold discussions on specific measures involving the Resource Circulation Strategy for Plastics formulated in May 2019 under the joint administration of related ministries and agencies, including METI, and to this end, it will hold interviews with a broad range of parties concerned to hear their opinions and then hold discussions on ideal approaches to systems involved in the strategy based on the results of interviews.
