Additional Sites for Supporting Filing Requests for the Subsidy Program for Sustaining Businesses to Open

May 27, 2020

Aiming to support businesses which are facing difficulties in electronically filing a request for the Subsidy Program for Sustaining Businesses, since May 12 (Tue.), 2020, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been opening physical sites called “Sites for Supporting Filing Requests”. As part of this effort, METI decided to open 76 additional Sites for Supporting Filing Requests in total by the end of June 2020 and hereby announces the details of these sites.

1. Venues

METI will open 76 additional sites in total by the end of June 2020, bringing the total number of such sites to 541 across Japan.

For details of these sites, e.g., opening dates and venues, see the “List of the Sites for Supporting Filing Requests.”

Moreover, it will open other sites and dispatch mobile offices to regions where no such sites will open in order to support businesses in filing requests for the program. METI will publish more information at a later date.

2. Sites for Supporting Filing Requests

At these sites, personnel in charge will support businesses in electronically filing a request for the program. If you wish to make use of such a site, please bring copies of necessary documents (or original documents, if possible), with you to the site.

With the goal of preventing the expansion of the novel coronavirus disease, METI requires all businesses wishing to make use of the sites to register in advance. Please note that no businesses are able to receive support services at the sites without registering in advance. For details on how to register in advance, see Item 3 “How to register in advance” below.
