Aichi Prefecture Chosen as Host Site of FY2021 Traditional Craft Products Month National Assembly

On July 9, 2020, the Council on Promoting Traditional Craft Products Month, a body aiming at dissemination of traditional Japanese crafts, held a meeting and discussed the FY2021 Traditional Craft Products Month National Assembly. As a result, it decided on “Aichi Prefecture” as the host site for holding the assembly.
1. Purpose
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) designated every November as Traditional Craft Products Month in 1984, aiming to raise public understanding of traditional Japanese crafts. Since then, METI has been conducting awareness-raising activities across Japan to achieve this goal.
On July 9, 2020, the Council on Promoting Traditional Craft Products Month, a body aiming at dissemination of such crafts, held a meeting at METI and, as a result of the discussions, decided on “Aichi Prefecture” as the host site for holding the FY2021 Traditional Craft Products Month National Assembly.
