October 19, 2020
On October 19, 2020, the Secretariat of the “Go To Event” Campaign will start a call for applicants for ticket sellers.
Overview of the campaign
The “Go To Event” campaign targets both “event organizers” faced with difficulties in holding events and “eventgoers” who have fewer opportunities to participate in events as a result of impacts caused by expansion of the novel coronavirus disease. It aims to encourage these people to raise awareness of and increase interest in “approaches to holding and enjoying events incorporating a ‘new mode of daily life,’” i.e., “new approaches to events,” and to popularize and establish these new approaches in Japanese society.
In addition, from the viewpoint of vitalizing industries, the campaign will provide measures for stimulating demand for events, e.g., discounts and coupons, and through these measures, it aims to [i] vitalize conventional-type events on the premise of full provision of measures for preventing expansion of the disease, [ii] vitalize events that intend to take on new efforts by taking advantage of the internet and other means, and [iii] vitalize surrounding industries that support these events, thereby invigorating the Japanese economy that has been negatively impacted by the disease.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) hereby announces that the Secretariat of the “Go To Event” campaign will start a call for applicants for ticket sellers for the campaign. For more information, visit the following site.
