FY2020 Green Logistics Partnership Conference to be Held

1. Outline of the conference

The Green Logistics Partnership Conference is a meeting body established in April 2005 through cooperation among JILS, JALoT, METI, MLIT and the Keidanren to expand collaborative efforts between consignors and logistics business operators for the purpose of reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the logistics sector in Japan. The conference has been making efforts to raise public awareness of green logistics based on partnerships between consignors and logistics business operators, to recognize excellent case examples, and publicize successful efforts.

2. The Excellent Green Logistics Commendation Program

Under the program, businesses that have achieved remarkable contributions to the establishment of sustainable logistics systems by reducing environmental burdens or improving productivity in terms of distribution have been recognized as winners of METI Minister’s Awards and Awards of the METI Director-General for Commerce and Service Industry Policy every fiscal year since the program began.

Date: December 16 (Wed.), 2020; from 13:45 to 16:35

Note: Attendance of the FY2020 conference will only be open to members of the press who complete advance registration,  to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus disease.

Closing date for registration by the press: 12:00 noon, December 14 (Mon.), 2020
Note: From the viewpoint of preventing the expansion of the novel coronavirus disease, the number of interviewers of the press may be limited.

After having received the application via the website, a participation certificate sent by the secretariat will be received by the applicant before the day prior to the conference. Please bring the certificate with you on the date of the conference and present it to the staff at the reception counter.
