The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) has been advancing activities for public awareness raising of “safety support cars,” a collective name for vehicles with functions for supporting drivers in safe driving to prevent traffic accidents caused by drivers’ errors such as improper use of the acceleration pedal.
METI hereby announces that a Poster Contest of Safety Support Cars will be held targeting elementary-school students nationwide, who will play a leading role in the future. To this end, a call for pictures and slogans for safety support cars from such students starts. This event aims to enrich public understanding of safety support cars through providing students with opportunities to think about the significance and functions of safety support cars together with their family members or other grown-ups.
