State Minister Ejima Holds Video Conference with H.E. Mr. Michał Kurtyka, Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland

On December 23 (Wed.), Mr. Ejima Kiyoshi, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, had a teleconference with H.E. Mr. Michał Kurtyka, Minister of Climate and Environment of Poland.
State Minister Ejima explained Japan’s future policies toward the achievement of carbon neutrality in 2050 and confirmed that Japan and Poland will further facilitate cooperation in the fields of energy and the environment, including in nuclear power, hydrogen, ammonia, and E-mobility.
In particular, in the field of nuclear energy, Japan and Poland decided to launch the nuclear policy dialogue at the senior official level in order to exchange views on nuclear energy policy and its global landscape, and to promote bilateral nuclear cooperation including research and development of high-temperature gas-cooled nuclear reactors and capacity building.
