Assistance for Initiatives to Create Femtech-driven Systems to Support the Health and Continued Employment of Working Women
April 28, 2021
On April 28 (Wed.), a call for applicants starts for indirect subsidy projects (local demonstration projects) for the FY2021 Subsidy Project for Demonstration Projects for Femtech and Similar Support Services.
1. Outline of the subsidy project
PwC Consulting LLC has been chosen as the operator (directly subsidized entity) for the Subsidy Project for Demonstration Projects for Femtech and Similar Support Services under the FY2021 Initial Budget. In this capacity, it calls for applicants (indirectly subsidized entities) to conduct demonstration projects to provide support services that use femtech, etc. to solve working women's health-related and other issues.
2. Background and purpose of the subsidy project
The aim of this subsidy project is to prevent things like unwanted turnover of working women triggered by life events such as pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause, improve the well-being of individuals, and increase the diversity of human resources at companies.
In the indirect subsidy projects, femtech companies, “introducing companies” (ones that employ women), municipalities, medical institutions, and other players in the field work together to conduct demonstration projects toward delivering femtech-driven support services in ways that suit the actual situations and meet the needs of local communities in order to solve working women's health-related and other concerns.
